1. Begin with an Arrowhead Bead folded to step 9. Valley-fold the bottom square corner of the top layer up to form a triangular flap.

2. Lift up to open.

3. Apply paste to the inside of the bottom triangular flap, close the bead, and insert the pasted flap into the pocket. As with the Arrowhead Bead, you may also insert a wire at this time to preserve a path for a future needle and beading string.

4. The completed Owl Bead. For a more literal representation, affix red seed beads to the upper flap with escutcheon pins.
